A woman from the UK tried to put too many marshmallows in her mouth and stopped breathing. This is reported by BBC News.

Natalie Bass, 37, from Pontypridd, attended a charity fundraising event organised by Beddau Rugby Football Club on Saturday, October 7. The club was raising money for the little rugby team where Bass’ eldest son was coached. A British woman participated in the raffle and was the winner. She was invited on stage for a mock marshmallow eating contest.

The challenge was to stuff as many marshmallow marshmallows into her mouth as possible. The DJ and audience members counted together as the woman took each new marshmallow from the package. The contestant laughed with the audience and then suddenly collapsed: the sweets blocked the woman’s airway and she began to choke. People from the audience rushed to help, someone even brought a defibrillator, but Bass could not be saved.

The lover of British actor Robert Pattinson – model and singer Suki Waterhouse – ate 50 dumplings in a hotel and asked for more. This is reported by Metro.

Pregnant Waterhouse reacted to a video published on one of her fan sites. In the video, which was filmed in a certain hotel, the embarrassed singer says that she ate a lot of dumplings. At the same time, a hotel employee said that the dumplings Waterhouse ordered had run out. “God, that’s embarrassing. There were probably 50 of them,” the singer says off-screen.

In the United States, a woman unexpectedly tasted human flesh when she ordered a salad at a restaurant. This is reported by NBC Connecticut.

The incident occurred in one of the restaurants of the chain Chopt in the state of New York. According to Connecticut resident Allison Cozzi, she was eating a salad and suddenly realised that she was “chewing a fragment of a human finger mixed with the salad and turned into a part of it”.

As it turned out, the finger belonged to the restaurant manager. He accidentally chopped off the tip of it while cutting the rucola. He had to go to the hospital after the injury. While he was away, the salad with the finger was served to the customers, including Cozzi.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady has revealed Elizabeth II’s dietary secrets that allowed her to live a long life and stay active even at an advanced age. His words are reported by the Daily Mirror.

McGrady called the main secret of longevity of the queen her balanced diet. It included plenty of seasonal fruit and vegetables, organic produce from the royal estates, and daily afternoon tea. A team of chefs would prepare a personalised menu for her with different options for several days ahead, and the Queen would cross out the dishes she didn’t like.

The chef revealed that Elizabeth II usually started her day with a cup of Earl Grey black tea in the company of a corgi. She would then proceed to breakfast, which took place in the dining room of Buckingham Palace and usually consisted of muesli, yoghurt and toast with jam. Sometimes the Queen would have an omelette with smoked trout instead. Smoked fish was one of Elizabeth II’s favourite dishes from her wartime years and she could eat it for breakfast, as a snack or as a late supper.
